Patrick has been the Technology Director since 2004.  His duties include the development of LAFSC’s technology plan for the future and the purchase and maintenance of all of LAFSC’s technology including computers, internet, software, cameras, audio/visual and film equipment.  In addition, Patrick trains students on Final Cut Studio and assists them with the technical and aesthetic aspects of their class projects.

Patrick was a music major in college for about three weeks but decided to hang up his organ slippers to pursue his first love (after Jesus):  film.  A graduate of LAFSC, Patrick received a BA in Media Communication with a Film emphasis from Asbury College in Kentucky.  Before joining the LAFSC team, he was an assistant editor at Kaleidoscope Films Group, a post-production trailer house where he worked on such films as the Matrix sequels, Big Fish, Freddy vs. Jason and yes, Gigli.

In his spare time, Patrick is also a freelance editor and videographer and remains active in many different areas of filmmaking:  writing, directing, cinematography and editing.  He is currently pursuing an MA in Theology and the Arts from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.

Having been classically trained in piano for eleven years, Patrick also plays the guitar, mandolin, dulcimer and harmonica.  He has used these gifts to lead worship at churches off and on for the last nine years.  Patrick enjoys infomercials/televangelists, Cadbury eggs, his wife Sarah’s sarcastic wit, classic rock and film noir, all of which will play important parts in his next screenplay.
