Chris has worked in various capacities for LAFSC since August 2003 and took on the role of Industry & Alumni Relations Director in the summer of 2005. The bulk of Chris’ responsibilities include supervising student internships and working with alumni of the program to assist with everything from finding jobs to finding friends in Hollywood. She is also a Hollywood Production Workshop faculty member, teaching on the topic of working with actors.
Prior to her work at LAFSC, Chris spent two years freelancing in theatre, television and film production throughout the country. Internationally, she has worked with a children’s theatre ministry in Europe and co-produced an AIDS educational video shot on location in Tanzania, Africa. She is currently an active member of The Eclectic Company Theatre in North Hollywood and auditions for film and commercials as opportunities arise.
Chris was born and raised in Rhinelander, Wisconsin (go Hodags!). She has a BA in Communication/Broadcasting with a Theatre minor from Northwestern College in Minnesota and an MA in Film Producing from Regent University. Despite her love for red leaves in the fall and state parks covered in snow, she decided to give up frozen morning hair and snotsicles in favor of sunny California smog in the summer of 2002 and is now (usually) happy to call Los Angeles home.
