Hollywood is the major leagues, a competitive field where the best and brightest go to create their art.  But, it's not all glamour and glitz.  Just as a major league player must consistently hone his skills, a professional in the entertainment industry must also perfect her craft.  It takes patience to map your path within the field.  But, if you are ready to take a step along that path, then you should apply to LAFSC.

The L.A. Film Studies Center is interdisciplinary and gives no preference to students in any particular discipline. Nor does the program expect students to come with extensive background specifically in film. A strong interest in film, however, is expected, particularly an interest in exploring a possible career in the film industry. A serious Christian commitment and a GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale are required.

The program typically accepts juniors and seniors who are full-time students earning credit toward their degree from a Council member college or university. (It will also consider applications from students of non-Council institutions, space permitting, if the institution will confer the academic credit and handle the billing through its business office. An additional $200 is charged to non-Council students once admitted to the program.)
